My Kind of Woman

The Kind that is as good as gold, in fact.
VANCOUVER - Canadian cross-country skier Beckie Scott received a gold medal Friday – more than two years after the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics

Sweet! It's about danny time, but at least those incompetent morons at the IOC did the right thing.
Her voice choking with emotion, Scott thanked "the people of Canada who have been overwhelming in their support from day one."

Yep, my kind of woman. In point of fact, it is WE who should thank YOU, for making us proud to be Canadian.
But in another race, the Russians tested positive for darbepoetin, a performance-enhancing substance. The IOC allowed the two to keep their medals in the five-kilometre pursuit because they had not failed drug tests for that race

Ahhh yes, the wonderful IOC. "You are a cheater, but we'll let you keep the medals you won TWO DAYS EARLIER because you weren't on the juice at that time." Stupid.
The Canadian Olympic Committee took the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland. The COC cited the Olympic Charter which says any athlete caught cheating at the Olympics should be stripped of all of their medals.

Way to go, COC!
The Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled that Scott should get the gold.

Way to go, Court of Arbitration!

Go read the whole story, and take a look at a real Canadian hero. Now THAT is one hot babe.
