Serious, or hilarious?

We all know that most Olympic athletes are under a microscope. But now it's not only the humans who are being charged with using performance enhancing drugs:

Blood of Olympic gold horse to be tested
*************
The international equestrian federation, or FEI, said Waterford Crystal's sample would be analysed at the U.S. equestrian drug-testing lab in New York.

At stake is the gold medal won by Irish rider Cian O'Connor aboard Waterford Crystal at the Athens Olympics in August.

FEI launched an inquiry after Waterford Crystal's initial A sample tested positive for a banned substance. A second positive result could result in the medal being stripped.

How sad is that, really? How laughable as well.
