Koffing Annus does it again.

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- U.N. head Kofi Annan has warned America, Britain and Iraq against launching an assault on Falluja, as Iraq's prime minister says that time is running out.

Aw stink, there goes that plan out the window.

In a letter obtained by CNN on Friday, Annan warned the governments from attacking Falluja and other insurgent strongholds, saying it could jeopardize elections scheduled for January.

Erhm... correct me if I'm wrong here... but it seems to me that letting the "insurgents (read: Terrorists) live is what will really jeopardize the elections in January. Maybe I'm wrong on this one... but aren't they the ones who don't want a free Iraq? Hmmmmmmm...

While American and Iraqi officials have said a Falluja offensive is necessary to clear the way for elections, Annan warned that any escalation in violence "could be very disruptive for Iraq's political transition."

Well gloryoski! If Annan says it,it must be true! He's right almost some of the time!
The only disruption it could cause is to the internal organs of the terrorists. That isn't a disruption, that's a bonus!

The spokesman for the U.S. mission to the United Nations, Richard Grenell, also slammed Annan's comments, saying that "spectator nations and international organizations should be doing more in Iraq and not from New York."

To which I shout a hearty: Amen!

Would somebody please just out Annan out to pasture? And while you're at it, just scrap the whole UN. Have they done anything of any relevance in the last three decades?
