I'm torn on this one

MOSCOW - A Moscow court has upheld a lower court decision banning activities by Jehovah's Witnesses in the Russian capital.

Well, that's not a really a bad thing, because the JW's are FREAKS with screwy doctrine and bad theology. However, it sets a dangerous precedent that could harm adherents to all religions in Russia (except the Orthodox church, of course). I hate how the government there always panders to the Orthodox. There you have it folks, another reason why church and state should remain separate. Those Anabaptists had that one right on!

The creepiest part of all, the JW spokesman's name is "Christian Presber" Yikes! (Note: look up the word presber if you don't know what it means).

The church is charged with stirring up religious discord and encouraging suicide, because it doesn't believe in blood transfusions.

Encouraging suicide eh? Hmmmmmm... wonder what the Word-faith movement folks would do if Canada or the US enacted that kind of a law! Or Mary Baker Eddy's
"Christian Science" adherents!
