I've been perusing the articles on Tech Central Station and I came across a really interesting one on the upcoming mission to the planet Mercury.
Little known fact about the Messenger ship:

MESSENGER stands for, "Mercury Surface Space, Environment, Geochemistry and Ranging mission.
