Vernon RCMP officer killed in high-speed chase

I heard this story on the radio this morning while at work. Needless to say, it made my blood boil.

Police were following a stolen van at about two this morning but broke off the chase because the vehicle was going too fast.

The driver of the van continued into the downtown core and ran a red light where it collided with a different police cruiser.

The auxilary officer was pronounced dead at the scene

Stupid, stupid wastes of skin. Neither one deserves any mercy.
